This page shows a typical
installation of Spartan Rod Works A-arms.

After the stock control arms
were removed, a hole saw is used to open up the lower control arm pivot bolt
hole. The included wider lower arm pivot is welded in place after careful
measuring. Instructions for placement are included. The gusset is then welded in
also for strength.
Next the new lower arm is bolted in.
The stock radius arm hole can be removed if desired or notched if left in place
and can be used as a trailer tie down point.

The upper arm mounts just like the stock one. Just bolt
it in. Bolt the spindle to the upper ball joint, and set the spring in its
mount.

Bring the lower arm up to the spindle with a floor jack
,being very careful with the spring, and bolt the lower arm in place.
Put the shocks on and get an alignment done and your
ready to cruise!
In this installation on a Cobra the 5/8" narrower
arms were used to keep the tires from rubbing.
